Fit, Fab, and Over Forty: Five Celebrities Who Don’t Look Their Age
These celebrities show that there may be some truth to the adage, “Life begins at forty.”
Christy Brinkley
Sixty-three year old Christie Brinkley made headlines when she returned to the cover of Sports Illustrated, together with her daughters Alexa Ray Joel and Sailor Brinkley Cook.
In an interview with People, she admitted that she decided to take on the project despite her own insecurities. She said, “Women feel very limited by their numbers. On a personal level, I thought, if I can pull this off, I think it will help redefine those numbers and remove some of the fear of aging.”
She continues to go to the gym regularly and follows a vegan diet. The model also admitted that her hair also adds to her youthful appearance.
Elle MacPherson
Elle MacPherson, 53, is another supermodel who does not look her age. According to a MailOnline interview with Nicole Addison, McPherson’s trainer, her svelte build is due to strength training. In that same article, the model-actress revealed that she makes sure to exercise daily and maintains a “clean diet,” although she was quick to say that she does this more for her health and happiness than as a means to maintain her weight.
Reese Witherspoon
It seems like only yesterday that Reese Witherspoon first appeared as a child actor in The Man in the Moon. She revealed in a HealthyCeleb feature that she has never tried a diet fad, instead chooses to eat wholesome food and running keeps her body slim and healthy. She is also a practitioner of yoga and Pilates.
The actress is currently the producer and a cast member of Big Little Lies. Witherspoon is currently shooting for the movie adaptation of the film, A Wrinkle in Time.
Heather Graham
Heather Graham is already 47, but she doesn’t seem to have aged a bit since she appeared in the spy action comedy Austin Power: The Spy Who Shagged Me. The actress said that her fear of being under the knife prevents her from getting plastic surgery, so it might just be good genes that’s keeping her looking as young as ever. Plus, she follows a healthy diet. Graham stated in several interviews that she has given up alcohol and reduced her sugar intake, which has done wonders for her appearance.
Graham is currently the face of top-rated UK-based online bingo site Foxy Bingo and incidentally targets women in the same age demographic as the actress herself. Thus, Foxy Bingo felt Graham’s fanbase was ideal to help the bingo operator reach their target market. She also endorses many beauty products and is an advocate of Children International.
Halle Berry
Halle Berry is now 50, but you wouldn’t know it from her appearance! She remains one of the fittest women in Hollywood. According to Shape, the actress works out four times a week for 1.5 hours. As a diabetic, she eats five small meals daily to regulate her blood sugar.
She is part of the cast of the upcoming film Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Next for Berry is a film called Kings which she is currently shooting.
