Review: Oriflame One Lip Sensation Matt Mousse Liquid Lipstick Range

Liquid lipsticks, till recently were not very high on the must-have lists of many as they were considered extremely drying. But how things have changed. Liquid lipsticks, specially the matte variety now feature high on the lust list of many make-up lovers. They are loved by all because of their rich pigmentation, staying power & ease of application.

How do they look?

Packaging: The One Lip Sensation Matt Mousse Liquid Lipsticks are available in transparent tubes fitted with a twist up silver cap. Easy to hold, the tubes look good with the One Lip Sensation Matt Mousse etched in silver. The names of the shades are mentioned on the outer packaging but the see-through tubes make it easy to identify the lipstick colors. The sponge tip applicator glides easily on the lips & applies color evenly but you need the even out the color at the corners of the lips. Keep the lipstick in your bag & move about your day, these tubes are spill-proof!!!

What colors can I play with?

Shades: If bold beautiful colors are your thing, then you shall have a tough time choosing a favorite from this range. The beautiful shades are available in the pink, red, plum & coral palette in the following shades:

Swatches Left to Right- Coral Dream, Satin Rose, Soft Mulberry, Rogue Suede, Red Velvett,  Raspberry Cloud, Pink Velour.

How does it feel?

Texture & Pigmentation: The lipsticks are easy to apply, glides like gloss & then settles on the lips lightly & stays through most of the day. The lipsticks have a creamy texture that gives a beautiful semi matte finish on drying. It does not look completely matte. Though the lipsticks glide easily, be careful about not pressing your lips together immediately post application as that may make cracks on the lips visible. The lipstick does not dry lips like liquid lipsticks are known to do nor does it chap. The lipstick feel very light on the lips & do not smudge easily. The matte mousse lipsticks stay for around 4-6 hours approximately.

We particularly liked the shade "coral dream", paired it with a white dress & loved the look created with it.
