The Only 5 Trends That Matter From Filmfare Awards 2016
So many Filmfare dresses but almost all of which fit into these five trend categories. Which one gets your style vote?
Filmfare maybe about honoring best films and talents but, let’s face it, what we really look for is who wore what for the award night – and girl this year’s awards were a fashionable sight to behold.
As we were flipping through all the gowns – from Deepika Padukone’s red hot Ralph & Russo with a red lip & red sandals to Sonam Kapoor who worked out an Indian touch to her look. We couldn’t help but notice that pretty well all the dresses hit into the super five trend categories.
1. Plunging V Necks
With so many plunging necklines, it’s clear that the real winner of Filmfare Awards is this one. Our favourite look?
Sonam Kapoor in Anamika Khanna and Parineeti Chopra in Shivan & Narresh.
2. Make it white, please.
Ladies in white were a big trend this year. Madhuri Dixit was ravishing in an embellished white sari designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Sonam Kapoor was a vision in a white Anamika Khanna lehenga choli.
Also in white was VJ actress Sophie Choudry and actress Elli Avram.
3. In-Your-Face Lace
Filmfare upped the ante on see through lace. Jacqueline Fernandez looked hot and sexy in a black gown dress on the red carpet. Stunning.
Sunny Leone earned herself major style points in this Rohini Gugnani gown.
4. The Cold Shoulder
Off the shoulder will be a reigning fashion girl favourite this year. And the subtle sex appeal is coming in cool cuts and dresses.
5. Going Graphic
Ranveer Singh has a thing for setting fire on the red carpet. He easily makes it as one of the best-dressed make celeb in a monochromatic Tom Ford creation.
For SS16 the graphic is oh so right.
6. Men in blue
Just when we thought black was getting too predictable, the men were spotted in blue setting the bar high for 2016.
Tell us which trend are you looking forward for in 2016?
