Karvachauth with some glamour
So ladies its that time of the year when most Indian women (mostly North Indian) fast for their husband's long life. Though the thought of starving the whole day is not the most pleasing ones, the thought of dressing up for the evening definitely makes us happy.
So while we pray that our Indian men live longer and beat the likes of Japanese (who enjoy the highest life expectancy), lets have a look at some cool ethnic Bollwood looks (karvachauth & other occasions)
Twinkle Khanna is quite a fashionista and seldom gets her fashion wrong. We liked her traditional avatar in which she keeps it simple with a bindi and dazzling chandbaalis. Check her out with her gang of friends who are looking equally colourful and happy
Even if she is dressed in plain Salwaar suits, Kareena Kapoor manages to look hot. We quite liked her lemon green anarkali accessorised with chunky earrings. A great look for the occasion !!!
This picture was taken shortly after her wedding and like always she looked every bit stunning.
Sindoori red & gold will always remain a timeless & a superhit combination in Indian wear, be it in Sarees, suits, lehengas etc etc ... So if making a choice of "what to wear" seems a tad bit difficult, just combine red or any other happy colour with some gold and you are ready for the occasion
Those of you who have seen Piku and remember the party scene ( as shown in the picture below) will vouch for how hot Deepika looked; the maroon saree, kohled eyes and the gorgeous pair of gold earrings made her very charismatic.
Who says one can't look traditional and sexy, both !!!
If you want to go easy and do not wish to jazz it up too much, keep it simple yet impressive with a monotone like Raveena's. A gorgeous pair of earrings and hair well styled are enough to surpass any dolled up look
So here are some looks to take some cues from.
It is a fun day ... a day filled with a lot of cribbing, ceremonies filled lots of laughter & giggles and the end of the day filled with super awesome dinner.
So get ready for the occasion ladies and do not let hunger pangs come in your way :)
